Missing poster created for and cap belonging to Richard Caproni (gift of the Caproni family); Mass Card and contents recovered in the purse belonging to Patricia Fagan (gift of Eileen Fagan); T-shirt and medal for Martin Egan Memorial Run (gift of the Egan Family); Contents of recovered wallet belonging to Robert Gschaar (gift of Myrta Gschaar); Welcome Back to the World Trade Center mug belonging to Walter P. ("Wally") Travers, gift of Rosemary Travers)

Do you have remembrances of your loved ones that capture a sense of who they were? Materials that reference where they were on September 11, 2001 or February 26, 1993, or that convey the work or travel activities they would have been pursuing on those days?

We are actively acquiring such materials for our permanent collection and to support our exhibitions.

Examples of such material include: personal memorabilia, recovered property, video and audio recordings, voice messages, documents or original writings including letters, e-mails and diaries, missing or memorial posters, memorial cards or programs and commemorative T-shirts, bracelets, ornaments, medals, websites and scrapbooks.

If you and your family are not willing to part with something but would like us to know about its special meaning with respect to your loved ones, please feel free to share information and pictures of such keepsakes. We are particularly interested in images of friends and family holding meaningful objects.

Please contact us if you are interested in sharing any of the above materials. We will try our best to get back to you within 1-2 weeks.
