It's easy to upload photos, audio files, video files, documents and text directly to the archive for the Memorial Exhibition. As a Contributor, you will be able to create multiple content groups (contribution albums) containing images, digital files, and text. You can relate each item in your album to one or more persons you want to remember. Begin by creating a Contributor Profile.
The system is designed to make it easy for you to remember your loved ones, friends or colleagues who were killed on 9/11/01 or 2/26/93 by linking their names to the materials you upload to the database. For example, if you are remembering two co-workers who were killed, and upload a photograph that depicts them both, you can relate that contribution to both individuals through an easy 1-step process. If you have a group of pictures that depict the company Christmas party and a separate group of pictures that depict a fishing trip with a friend from a different company, you can create a different contribution album for each. You can keep editing a contribution album, adding, updating or removing items, until you feel that you are ready to submit it to the archive for the Memorial Exhibition. At this point, you will be prompted to click through a permission agreement and then submit the album to the Memorial Exhibition Manager for review. After you've submitted an album to the archive, it will be locked for editing, but you will be able to see it in your Contributor Profile whenever you would like. You can contribute as many albums as you wish, and you don't have to submit any of them to the memorial museum until you are ready. You are also welcome to share your contribution albums with friends and family members, and to encourage them to participate as well by contributing their own materials.
Once you click "join" you will receive an email with a username and password and a link back to this site. When you return to the site, just enter your username and password into "Login/Logout" in order to start contributing material.
